Ingredients

For the garlic herb butter
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter softened
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley finely chopped
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme leaves chopped
  • 0.5 tsp fresh rosemary finely chopped
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 0.5 tsp paprika
For the turkey
  • 1 breast (2.5 lb) turkey boneless, skin-on, thawed
  • 1 tsp vegetable oil

Equipment

  • 1 6-quart air fryer

Method

Make the garlic herb butter
  1. Stir the butter, garlic, parsley, thyme, rosemary, salt, pepper, and paprika together in a small bowl until evenly combined.
Prepare and air-fry the turkey
  1. Pat the turkey dry with paper towels.
  2. Carefully loosen the skin and spread about half of the butter under it.
  3. Spread the rest of the butter over the skin.
  4. Preheat a 6-quart air fryer to 350°F for 3 minutes.
  5. Brush the basket with the oil.
  6. Place the turkey skin-side up in the basket.
  7. Air-fry for 45 to 60 minutes, checking at 40 minutes, until the thickest part reaches 165°F.
  8. Transfer the turkey to a cutting board and rest for 15 minutes before slicing.

Notes

For the juiciest result, check the thickest part with a meat thermometer and remove the turkey once it reaches 165°F. Refrigerate leftovers for 3 to 4 days or freeze them; use dairy-free butter as a swap if needed.
