Best Sausage Stuffing

Sausage stuffing baked with pork sausage, herbs, and tender vegetables gets a golden top and a moist center. Drying the bread cubes in the oven helps them absorb the savory broth and egg mixture without turning mushy.

  11. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish, cover tightly with foil, and bake for 30 minutes.
  12. Uncover and bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until the top is golden and the center reaches 165°F.
  13. Rest for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

For the best texture, dry the bread cubes until they are fully dry before mixing. Refrigerate leftovers for 3 to 4 days; freezer-friendly. Turkey sausage can be used as a lighter swap.
